ABOUT

Montgomery Slacks are a Blues/Rock Band from Nottingham UK. I started it off in 2020 as a lockdown solo project and since 2024 has grown into a band in its own right.

Currently we are a four piece. Female fronted. Bass, Drums Guitar and Vocals. Sarah our lead vocalist, brings a raw powerful energy to everything she sings. Fabio our Bassist is restrained but fluid and melodic on the bass, and also has a beautiful singing voice he uses for harmonies and backing vocals. Matt our drummer keeps everything glued together and organised; happy to play whatever time signature I throw his way.

We have released a string of singles over the years and our EP in 2024; our 'Dragonfly EP'. Notably, in our live shows we have headlined the Guildhall at Dart Music Festival. Since then we have recorded more songs and released them as singles leading to our second EP 'Navigator' coming out later this year (2026). One of our singles 'Fuel to the Fire', has received BBC introducing airplay.

We are all heavily influenced by the sound of 70's classic rock, Led Zeppelin, Queen, Free, Allman Brothers Band. We mix that with more eclectic tastes.

We are also interested in pushing our boundaries musically; Play things we haven't before. I feel as a band we naturally challenge each other to be better push harder and go for the high note and it's inspiring to be a part of.
